Target Clothespin Project #3

Well, here it is Project #3 with those fancy shamancy clips!
I made a "No Name" frame for this years class!!   I knew I wanted to make something fun with those Target School Clips and this is what I came up with. All my supplies were purchased at Michaels with the exception of the clips.  I got lucky and bought the frame at 50% off, each letter was $1, and the paint was probably the most expensive but keep in mind you can use that 40% off coupon.  I also keep my phone handy and use my iPhone to look up coupons.  Once I'm at the checkout I whip out my phone and the cashier scans the coupon, sooooo easy!  Plus, with your teacher card you can get an additional discount.  I was lucky and had glue and glitter at home, but what primary teacher doesn't?
Here's how I did it and you can to:
1. Paint your frame, I did 4 coats.
2. For the letters, I dabbed glue dots and sprinkled some glitter.
4.  Once it was all dry I used the glitter tape and put along the inside edge of the frame.
5.  Then, I used wood glue to put together and twine for the line and to hang it from.

It turned out so great!  My only issue is I am not sure those are the colors I want to use for my class so I also made a more school like style one that I can use instead(or gift it to an awesome teacher friend).
And, my daughter helped me with that one.  She's so cute at working hard!

But, I am really leaning towards turquoise, yellow, silver, white and red-orange for this years color scheme.  I did find some borders that would work well.  What do you think I should use for this year?  Turquoise/Silver or Red/Black?  Comment below, so I can get some advice. Thank you!

And, now go get those clips and make something fun for your class!

Target School Clothespins Project #2

Here's another super easy project I did with those oh so sought after Target Dollar Bin School Clothespins.  For this one, I gathered up some small round cork boards I bought at Michaels for $1 each! And I used my teacher discount.  Bought some red chalk paint and came home and painted these.  Glued down the pins and that's it!  The turquoise paint I also bought but used for my last project that I will be revealing soon!    Here's the supplies:
I painted one coat for the red ones and two for the turquoise, but it could probably use another round.  I'll be hanging these on my wall by desk once I get into my classroom.  Then, I'll clip whatever I want! Viola! Another super easy project!

But, wait!  There's more! I'm celebrating hitting over 100 followers on my Instagram account and giving away one set of these oh so fabulous clip sets!

Target School Clothespins Project #1

I was so excited to see these Instagram and was excited to go out and get them.  But, like many I couldn't find any!!  I asked my sister to be on the lookout for them and score!  She found SEVEN sets for me!! What was I going to do with seven of them?  I had no idea.  So, I took to Pinterest and found lots of fun ideas for clothespin projects.  My first one is super easy and you can do it to!  First, I got some magnetic tape and  yes I am going to make magnets out of them!  Supplies are shown in Step 1 pic below.  Step 2, open up those bad boys and cut small strips to place on the clothes pins.  Step 3, stick 'em on!
That's it!
Super easy project and they will look fantastic on your filing cabinet or classroom board.
Project two coming soon……

Week 3's challenge was to create a "Masterpiece". I LOVE dinosaurs and really had a fun time teaching them with my Kinders this past year so I wanted to create a set that would be educational, fun and engaging.

This set offer so much! In it you will find:
Dinosaur teacher cards
(Colored cards with dino facts to use for lesson for whole group teaching)

Dinosaur Read and Write Book
(copy on full sheet, cut, & staple. includes KWL chart, Dino facts and Q&A sections, “Are, Can. Have” writing sections, and Draw & learn writing page)

Dino Postcard “I Can Tell You About”
(Copy front and back on card stock for easy mailing. Students color and write to their families what they learned for a fun way to show off what facts they have learned. Teacher can mail or send home with students)

Dinosaur writing prompts
(10 fun and engaging questions for students to write about in reference to dinosaurs)

Blank Dinosaur theme writing paper with Illustration box Dinosaur “header” writing paper

My favorite thing about this set is the Postcard “I Can Tell You About…" This is a great piece to show parents what students have been studying. Your class writes they learn, color the card, and you can easily mail them to their families. A couple days later the students have an exciting piece of work that was mailed to their home and they can share it!

Want this set?  Just leave a comment below why you love dinosaurs with your email address and I'll send it you!  I'll be sending free sets today only till 9PM pacific standard time.
